Space Opera With a Twist

Month: February 2024

And It’s Off!

I just sent The Final Shore (Siobhan Dunmoore Book 9) to my editor, which means a mid-March publication date is looking more and more possible. Now, back to Imperial Dawn. I’ve just opened the file and began to re-familiarize myself with where I was at when I switched over to the last Dunmoore adventure. With any luck, it’ll be a late May publication date. After that? I’ve been toying with a new series set in the same universe as all my others, but further in the future than Ashes of Empire, featuring a roguish officer who carries out dirty work for the imperial government.

Stay safe and healthy, fellow humans.

Done Again

I just finished writing The Final Shore – Siobhan Dunmoore Book 9, the last installment in the series. It took me a bit longer than expected, mainly because we spent four weeks in January on vacation in an undisclosed location where we practiced the fine arts of farniente and scuba diving. Those of you who follow me on Facebook may have seen a few underwater pictures I posted while we were there.

To say it was difficult wrapping up a series I started so long ago would be an understatement. But it’s done. Now, on to the multiple rounds of revision before it goes to my editor, hopefully before the end of this month. Then, back to Imperial Dawn which I expect to have completed by late May.

Around here, the weather is almost spring-like with temperatures more common in mid-March and only a fraction of the regular amount of snow on the ground. It’s supposed to get colder next week, but not much snowfall. I can’t say that I mind a mild winter. After all, I’m built more for the tropics than the Great White North.

Stay safe and healthy, fellow humans.
