Summer-like weather has finally arrived this mid-May, along with flowers, leaves in the trees and lots of sunshine. And on this 15th day of May, I’ve reached the halfway mark writing the seventh Siobhan Dunmoore adventure. I’m pretty satisfied with progress and with the story to date. One of the things this and potentially further Dunmoore books will do is bridge the gap between the end of the Shrehari War and the Commonwealth of the Decker’s War era, which means less fighting and more intrigue. And that in turn means secondary characters we know from previous Dunmoore books will take on a larger role. Those of you who read Decker’s War, Constabulary Casefiles, and Ghost Squadron may know who I’m talking about, and remember some of what happened in those tumultuous decades.
The way things are going, it’ll likely be a late July publication date. In the meantime, watch this space for further updates.
Stay safe and healthy, fellow humans.
